Second meeting~

                                                                         "UNVEILING SEYTAN"

We started our media studies project by having a meeting to plan the film's opening scene. We wanted to create something spooky and mysterious, something that would give you the chills. We discussed our ideas, the setting, characters, climax, and the overall tone we aimed to achieve.

After some discussion, we came up with the main idea of our opening scene. The Genre of our opening scene is "horror". 

Black magic, or 'Kala Jadu' as it's known locally, is deeply ingrained in Pakistani culture. Many people believe in its power to bring about both good and evil. While some use it for positive purposes, like healing or protection, others employ it for malicious intent, such as causing harm or misfortune to others. The practice of black magic often involves the use of spells, incantations, and supernatural entities. While some dismiss it as superstition, for many in Pakistan, black magic is a very real and powerful force.

"Seytan", is a horror film that delves into the dark world of black magic. The story revolves around a young girl who is cursed by a coven of five women.

 
I, Neha Qamar, will be taking on the role of the young girl, the central character of our horror film, "Seytan". As the cursed protagonist, I will be delving into the depths of fear and despair, bringing the character to life. My role will be to convey the terror and vulnerability of a young woman caught in a powerful curse. More details about my contributions to the project will be unveiled as we progress. 

To find the perfect setting for our horror film, we visited a village in Pakistan. We found a mansion which was huge and mysterious. Despite its modern construction, the building exuded an air of mystery. Its high ceilings and large, dark corridors created a sense of foreboding. We decided that this was the perfect location for our shooting. 

The main challenge we faced was coming up with an ending for our opening scene...

We had a lot of ideas, but none of them felt right. After a few meetings, we still couldn't agree on an ending. Finally, we decided to leave the ending open-ended, leaving the audience to wonder what happens next.

We're excited to see how our hard work pays off. With a talented team and a perfect setting, we're confident that we'll create a truly frightening experience. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to work on this exciting project.
